Sound is Half of EverythingFilming within the architectural grandeur of the Center presented another set of challenges with the audio recording, editing and sound mixing. Between the twenty and fifty-foot ceiling heights, hardwood and marble floors; the level of reverberation of sound throughout the building and the creaking of the wooden pews in the Chapels, the crew was busy hanging sound blankets around sets for nearly every scene that required quiet or subdued dialogue. Tim Dutton, Sound Recordist, had his hands full capturing the up-close dialogue between characters in the open spaces, particularly in the large Chapel and open hallways.
